Examination TextEsther Hoyte aged about 23 years lay last night in an empty house in Half Moon Street in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith she never was married bound an apprentice kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant, was born in the Strand between Charles Court and Villers Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid, and her father Edward Hoyte who was a Haberdasher kept house there known by the sign of the Bird in the Hand 8 years and paid 25 pounds by the year rent and all taxes and served Overseer of the poor of this Parish and died therein. Sworn the 20th Day of October 1742 before me [blank].
