Examination TextRobert Johnson aged 40 years in the workhouse of and belonging to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith he was married to Alice his late wife (who has been dead above one year) in St Martin's Tabernacle about eight years ago, that he is by trade a Taylor was bound an apprentice by indenture for seven years to Mr Thomas Horton who lived in Dukes Street York Buildings in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid where he him served near four years, then his master removed to Villers Street and this Examinant along with him and there served the remainder part of his time which expired about 19 years ago since which he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant afterwards, hath two children living, John aged 15 years, an apprentice to Mr Thomas at the Globe Tavern in the Strand, Robert aged 11 years, an apprentice to a Stocking Weaver in the City of London.
