Examination TextAnne Stribblehill aged 29 years removed from the Parish of St Margaret Westminster and now in the workhouse of and belonging to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith she is the wife of Gravely Stribblehill (gone from her five weeks ago and where he is now knows not nor hath ever heard), was married to him at the Parish Church of St. Peter the Bayley in the city of Oxford 11 years ago on the fourth Day of January instant and has three children by him namely Thomas aged 10 years, Elizabeth aged three years and Mary aged five months removed with her, saith her husband is a Brasier by trade and was bound an apprentice by indenture for seven years to William Allen, Brasier in Hemmings Row in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served all his time which expired before her marriage, but how long cannot say, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a year together a yearly hired service in any place afterwards. Sworn [the first of January 1742].
