Examination TextSusanna Fuller aged 26 years lodging at a house let out in tenements belonging to Mrs Vane in Villers Street in the Strand in the parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith she never was married or bound an apprentice kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant, that she has been informed she was born at the Lukes head in Church Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields and that her father John Fuller hath informed her he was bound an apprentice to one John George, a Fringemaker who lived in the Strand opposite Cecil Street in the Parish of St Martin's aforesaid and there served the whole time for which he was bound, and that he never afterwards was a yearly hired servant kept house rented 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes, And this Examinant voluntary upon her oath further saith that she is now great Great with child which when born is or are likely to be born a bastard or bastards and to become chargeable to the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields, and that one John Dover a Taylor who lodges at Mr Worrall's a Glazier in Half Moon Street in the said Parish aforesaid had carnal knowledge of her body on the first Day of April last upon a bed in his own room at Mr Worrall's aforesaid and several times afterwards upon and in the same bed at which or one which times he beget her with child of the child or children she now goeth with and is pregnant off, and that he the said John Dover is the true and only father thereof and no man else. Sworn the 29th day of December 1741 before James Fraser.
