Examination TextElizabeth Stock aged about 52 years upon her oath saith that she has now no habitation, that about five years ago she was married at the ffleet to one William Stock, a Butcher, that he rented a house in Hewits Court of 17 pounds a year paid and paid all parish taxes, quitted the same about four years and an half ago afterwards, afterwards took a house in Church Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields of the yearly rent of 40 pounds, quitted the same about two years ago and hath never kept any house since, that he has been gone from her some time and that she has heard that he is gone abroad as Groom to his Majesty, that she is now Lame and hath not the wherewith to support herself. Sworn [24th May 1743].
