Examination Text | Elizabeth Anthony aged 58 years removed from the Parish of St. James Westminster upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr John Applegarth, a Cheesemonger at the corner of Orange Court in Orange Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields at 3 pounds and 10 shillings by the year wages diet and lodging, that she served her said Master there under the same hiring for the space of six years, that she quitted that service about a year and an half ago and never kept any house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant since. Sworn the 24th Day of June 1743 before me James Fraser. |
