| Examination Text | Sarah Clarke aged 18 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith she never was married bound apprentice kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes, but that she was a yearly hired servant to Mrs Pullman in Drury Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of 13 months at the yearly wages of 3 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about three months ago and hath not been a servant in any one place for 12 months together since, that she is now about five months gone with child but don't know the Father. Taken the 23rd of December 1747. |
