The Indentures Wittnesseth That Hugh Mills< no role > & Thomas Kirkham< no role > Churchwardens
Phillip Pincknye< no role > Benjamin Harvy< no role > John Dorrill< no role > & Mathew Beaver< no role > Overseer of poore
of the parish of st. Clement Danes in the County of Middx with the assent of Hugh
Chamberlen & William Bridgman< no role > Esqrs . Justices of the peace for the County of Middx
and Citty and liberty of Westmr according to the Statue in that case made & provided have
putt Hester Singleton a poore Child apprentice to Jane Holdrop< no role > and with her after the
manner of an apprentice to dwell & serve from the day of the date hereof unto the fullend
and terme of [..] eight yeares from theme next ensueing & fully to be compleate & ended
Dureing all which said terme wee the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poore with the assent
aforesaid Doe order & appoint the said Apprentice well & faithfully her said Mrs. shall serve
her secretts keepe her comandmts. lawfull & honest every where shall gladly doe hurt to her said
Mr. Shee Shall not doe nor consent to be done of others but that shee to her power shall prvent the
same or else from time to time admonish her thereof the goods of her said Mr. Shee shall
wast nor them to any body lend without her consent neither from her Service by day nor
night shall not absent herself Taverns or Alehouses shee shall not frequent at Cards
dice or any other unlawfull game shee shall not play whereby her said Mrs. may
receive any prsudice but in all things as a good & faithfull Servant ought to doe she
behave herself towards her said Mrs. & all hers dureing the said terme And the said
Jane Holdrop< no role > shall teach & instruct the said Hester Singleton< no role > the Art or trade of
trimming of Gloves which Shee now followeth & useth according to the best of
skill & knowledge and shall give to & pvide for her Said Apprentice Sufficient Meate
drink washing lodging apparrell linnen & all other necessaryes meet & convenient
such an Apprentice dureing the said terme And for the true performance of all the Articles
forme aforesaid to be kept the said parties to these prsent Indentures bind themselves
each to other by these prsents In witnesse whereof the parties to these prsent Indenture
Interchangeably have sett their hands & Seales the twenty Fourth day of September
in the sixth yeare of the reigne of King William & Queene Mary over England Etc:
