This Indenture Witnesseth That William Davis< no role > & Edward Clarke< no role > Churchwardens
John Henley< no role > John Hughes< no role > John Lacey< no role > & Samll. Whitmore< no role > Overseers of the poore of the parish
of St. Clement Danes in the County of Middx with the assent of hugh Chamberlen and
Leonard Hancock< no role > Esqrs : Justices of the peace for the County of Midd & Citty & liberty
of Westmr: according to the Statute in that case made & provided have putt Hannah Weilding< no role >
Apprentice to John Cludley and with him after the manner of an Apprentice
to dwell and serve from the day of the date hereof unto the full end and terme of seaven
yeares from thence next ensueing & fully to be compleate & ended Dureing all which said
terme wee the Churchwardens & overseers of the poore with the assent aforesaid Doe
order and Appointe the said Hannah Weilding well & faithfully her said Master shall
serve his secretts keepe his Comandmts. lawfull & honest every where shall gladly doe hurt
to her said Mar Shee shall not doe nor consent to be done of others but that shee to her
power shall prvent the same or else from time to time admonish him thereof the
goods of her said Mar. Shee shall not wast nor them to any body lend without his
consent neither from his service by day or night shall not absent herself Taverns
or Alehouses shee shall not frequent at Cards Dire or any other unlawfull game
shee shall not play whereby her Mar. may receive any prsudice Formicacon shee shall
not committ Matrimony dureing the said terme shee shall not contract but in all
things as a good & faithfull servt. ought to doe shall behave herself towards her
said Mar: and all his dureing the said terme And the said John Cludley shall
cause to be taught & instructed in housewifrie his said Apprentice And shall
give to & provide for his said Apprentice sufficient meale drink washing
lodging Apparrell & all other necessaryes meete & convenient for such an
Apprentice dureing the said terme And for the true performance of all the
Articles in forme aforesaid to be kept the said parties to these prsent Indentures
bind themselves each to other by these prsents In witnesse whereof the parties to
these prsent Indentures Interchangeably have sett their hands & seales the
nineteenth day of August in the Fourth yeare of the Reigne of
King William & Queene Mary over England Etc:Annoqz dui 1692
