This Indenture Witnesseth That Jeremiah Bradgate< no role > & John Smith< no role > Church Wardens Robert
Merritt Ralph< no role > Alport William Till< no role > & Wm. Fisher< no role > Overseers of the poore of the parish of
St. Clement Danes in the County of Middx with the Assent of Albine Chare & hugh
Chamberline Esqrs. Justices of the poore for the County of Middx. & Citty & libert of Westmr.
according to the Statute in that case in made & provided have putt William Bromvell< no role >
Apprentice to solomen & also Cordwainer and with him after the manner of an
apprentice doe well & serve from the day of the date hereof unto the fullend & terme
of seaven yeares from these next ensueing & fully to be compleate & ended dureing all
When said terme wee the Churchwardens & Overseers of then poore with the assent aforesd
doe order & appointe the St. William Branwell< no role > well & faithfully his said Mar. shall
serve his secretts keepe his Comandamts. lawfull & honest every where shall gladly doe
hurt to his said Mar. he shall not doe nor consent to be done of others at that he to
his power shall prsent the same or else from time to time admonish him thereof the goods
of his said Mar. he shall not wast nor them to an body send without his consent neither
from his service by day or night shall not absent themselves Taverner or alehouses he
shall not frequent unlesse it be about his Mars. businesse there to be done at Card dice or
any other unlawfull game he shall not play whereby his Mar: may receive any prjudice
Fornicacon he shall not comitt Matrimony dureing the said terme he shall not contract
but in all things as a good & faithfull Servt. ought to doe shal behave himself
towards his said Mars and all his dureing the said terme And the said Solomon
Callo shall teach & instruct his said Apprentice in the Art Mistery or Trade of
a Cordwinder which he now useth according to his best skill & knowledge and
Shall give to & provide for his said Apprentice Sufficient meate drinck washing
lodging apparrell linnen & all other necessaryes meet & Convenient for such an
Apprentice dureing the said terme And for the true performance of all the
Articles in forme aforesd to be kept the said parties to these prsent Indentures
bind themselves each to other by these prsents In witnesse whereof the parties
to these prsent Indentures Interchangeably have sett their hands & seales the
22th. day of August in the Second yeare of the reigue of King William &
Queene Mary over England Etc: Annoqr Dui 1690
