This Indenture Witnesseth That Lancelott Coppleston< no role > & William Burmby Church
Wardens statute said & Thomas Ingram< no role > Thomas Kirkham< no role > & John Freelove< no role > overseers of the
poore of the parish of St Clement Danes in the County of Middx with the assent of John
Phillipps
< no role > & Alleslre Esqrs . Justices of the peace for the County of Middx & Citty & libty of
[..] Mr according to the statute in that case made & pvided have putt Elizabeth Cotterell< no role >
apprentice to Ellianer Hildor and will her after the manner of an apprentice lodwell and
serve from the day of the date hereof unto the full end and terme of Eight yeares from
thence next ensueing and Fully to be compleate & ended dureing all which said terme wee
the Churchwardens & overseers of the poore with the assent aforesaid doe order & appoint the
said Elizabeth Coterell well & Faithfully shall serve her secretts Keepe her comandments
lawfull & honest every where shall gladly doe hurt to her sis Mrs: Shee shall not doe or consent to
be done of other but that Shee to her power shall prvent the same or else from time to time
admonish her thereof the goods of her Mrs. Shee shall not wast nor them to any body lend
without her consent neither from her service by day or night shall not absent herself but
in all things as good & Faithfull servant ought to doe shall behave her self towards
her said Mrs: and all hers dureing the said terme Taverns or Alehouse Shee shall not
Frequent onlesse it be about her Mrs: businesse there to be done at Cards Dice or any other
unlawfull games Shee shall not play whereby her Mistresse may receive any prjudice.
Fornicacon Shee shall not comitt Matrimony dureing the said Terme Shee shall not
contract And the said Ellianor Hildor< no role > shall teach & instruct her said apprentice in
Housewifrye according to her best skill & knowledge And the said Ellianor Hildor< no role > shall give &
Find to her said apprentice sufficient meate drink washing lodging apparell linnen & all
other necessaryes meete & convement for such an apprentice dureing the said terme
And for the true performance of all the Articles in forme aforesd to be kept the Sd
parties to these prsent Indentures bind themselves each loother by these prsents In
Witnesse whereof the said parties to these present Indentures Interchangeably have
sett their hands and seales the Eleaventh day of February in the First yeare of the
reigue of King William & Queene Mary over England Etc Annoqr Dui 1689
