The Examination of Elizth Fozard< no role > Passed from the
Parish of St. Martin in the Feilds in the Liberty of Westmr .
by Order bearing date ye. 14th- lnstt- to the Parish of St.
Clemt. Danes in the County of Middx Who upon her Oath
saith yt. she is a Singlewoman & was never married & that
in December 1739 She was hired to one Mr. Fred: Bourne< no role >
in the sd. Parish of St. Clemt. Danes Taylor & lived with
him as a Yearly hired Servt . for the Space of one Year and
upwards at the Yearly Wages of four Pounds And this
Examinant further on her Voluntary Oath saith that she
is pregnant with Child or Childn- which when born will
be a Bastard or Bastards & likely to become Chargeable
to the sd. Parish of St. Clemt. Danes she being Poor & not
able to maintaine the same when born And further saith
that one John Weight< no role > Taylor did begett the said Children
[..] Childn. on her Body he at that time working as a Journey
man with the sd. Mr. Bourn & Lodging in the same House
there become accquainted with her & had Carnall Knowledge
of her Body in the Month of Novr. last & at several other times [..]
one of which Time she got her with the Bastard Child or Childn.
which She is now pregnant with & that he & no other Person is
the true & rent Father thereof
