The Examination of Elizth. Hill< no role > Wido . of John Hill< no role > living
in the Parish of St. Clemt Danes in the County of Middx
taken the 21st. Day of March 1740 Who upon her Oath Saith
that abt. 25 Years ago her sd. late Husband Jno. Hill was
bound an Apprentice & served Seven Years Apprenticeship to
one Mr. Plunkett Upholster in St. Martin in the Feilds in the
Liberty of Westminister & further on her Oath saith that her
sd. Husband in his Life Time nor hath She this Examinant
since his Death ever rented ten Pounds a Year pd. Parish Taxes
lived with any Person as a Yearly hired Servant for the Space
of one Year or otherwise gained a Settlement in any other Place
to her knowledge or beleife & being Poor is not able to maintaine
herselfe
