The Examincon of Martha< no role > the Wife of Josiah Pearson
Lodging in the Parish of St. Clement Danes in the County of
Middx Taken the 21st. Day Janry 1740 Who upon her Oath
saith yt. on the 22d. April 1739 she Intermaried with the
above Named Josiah Pearson< no role > & yt. her sd. Husband before
his Intermariage with this Examint. & whilst he was a
Singleman lived with his Brother Saml. Pearson< no role > in Ryders
Court in the Parish of St. Ann in the Liberty of Westmr .
Cordwainer for the space of Eleven Years or thereabouts
and for such his Service during yt. time had Meat. Drink
Washing Lodging & Cloaths, And this Examinant further
upon her Oath saith that her said Husband Josiah Pearson< no role >
hath not since he left his said Brother's Service Rented
Ten Pounds a Year Paid Parish Taxes lived with any
Person as a Yearly hired Servant for the space of
one Year or otherwise gained a Settlement in any
other Place to her knowledge or beleife That her
said Husband is now a Marine in Colonel Hanmores
Regiment of Foot and haveing one Child Named
Henry< no role > aged about Ten Months & being Poor is not
able to maintaine herselfe & Child
