to the Instruction of the same Grand Committee
the situation of the Steward of this Hospital and
agreed it to be highly necessary that he should
have some assistance and determined that Mr.
Law of St. Thomas's Street shall for the Present
afford him as much assistance as shall be consistent
with his other avocations.

It having been reported by the Treasurer at
the next Meeting of this Committee that the before
mentioned Mr Beevers had applied to such of the
Hospital Tenants as had not Produced their last
receipts for Rent to see such receipts and that
several of them had not Produces them we
directed Mr Beevers to immediately apply to such
of them as had refused or neglected so to do for the
payment of the Arrear of Rent which appeared
in the Hospital Books to be respectively due from
them

Finally it appears to this Committee from their
investigation of the Hospital Accounts and the best
information the Committee have been able to
Procure upon the Subject that the deficiency arising
from Anthony Wingfield< no role > 's delinquency is £4412..2..4
besides a four further Sums which the Committee have
reason to think have been received by Anthony
Wingfield
< no role > of such of the Tenants as have not yet
Produced their receipts but which they believe will
not exceed the Sum of £200 of which he admits
to have received £167..11..

This Committee have also
proceeded pursuant to the Resolution of the before
mentioned Grand Committee to enquire into the
nature of Anthony Wingfields< no role > Office and of his
appointment thereto and do find that at a
Meeting of a Grand Committee of the Hospital
upon the 20th. day of June 1775 the then Treasurer
