The Minutes of the last General Court were read
and approved.

Mr. President recommended to the Court Sub-
scriptions for the benefit of the Charity and thereupon the Clerk
attended the Governors at their Seats with the Subscription Book
and Gentlemen were pleased to subscribe as follows

Mr. John Launder< no role > 50..-..-
Matthews Beachcroft< no role > Esqr. 50..-
William Cheselden< no role > Esqr 100..-
Theodore Jacobson< no role > Esqr 50..-

A Motion being made that Leave be given to the Grand Comee
to let a Lease for Nine hundred eighty two years & half from
Midsumer 1738 on such Terms as they shall think proper to
the President & Governors of the Hospital founded at the sole
Costs & Charges of Thomas Guy< no role > Esqr . of all or any part of the
Ground & the Buildings standing thereon between the North
Front of the said Mr. Guy's Hospital & St. Thomas's Street in
this Parish

Resolved That Leave be given to the
Grand Committee of the Governors of this Hospital &
they are impowered to grant such Lease or Leases of the above
mentioned Premisses for the said Term of 982½ years at
such Rent or Rents as they shall think proper

Mr. President acquainted the Court that William
Cheselden
< no role > Esqr . late one of the Surgeons of this Hospital has
resigned that Office & that it is necessary to have the Necessary
speedily supplied.
