Hee said hee Submitted and prayed the Courts favour adding hee was chose at a
General Court and So withdrew and then all the other peticoners were called
in one after another Vizt. Mr. Court, and Mr. Elton the Two other present
principall Surgeons, and Mr: Pepper the Assistant Surgeon, And also Mr.

MrAmbrosse Tompson< no role > , Mr. Tho: Leitchfield< no role > , Mr. Samll: Smith< no role > , Mr. Andrew

< no role > , Mr. Simon Ridout< no role > , Mr. Hen: Middlton< no role > and Mr. Gration Bale< no role > , being
all Examined and approved Surgeons according to law as appeared by Certificates
and every one of their peticons respectively read in their Several presences
and after being all putt in nominacon the Most of Voices were for the said Mr.
Samuel Smith< no role > , Mr. Ridout, and Mr. Coats worth, who were thereupon all the
declared Surgeons of this Hospital To holdto them Severally with
the usual Salary during the pleasure of the Court

Ordered That one of the Surgeons Shall come every of those dayes in the Weeke
(they are not all to meete) att a certaine hour in the Morning and visit
their patients in the Hospital

A Motion being made for choice of an Apothecary in place of Mr: Sely the late
decreased Apothecary, It is ordered that before this Court proceed thereupon
The Comittee to hear and receive proposalls in writing how much each
Apothecary peticoner, or others do. demand for the providing & applying
of Apothecaries Medicines to the patients of the house, And for the better
managment thereof the Court doth for that purpose add Doctr. Chamberlen
Mr. Deputy Gardner, Mr. Soper Mr: Hobbs, and Mr: Gardner Chirurgeons to
the said Comittee, who are desired to meets with all speed & report their
Opinions to the Court

And this Court doth hereby impower the said Comittee to manage and
transact all affaires for the Government of this Hospital in the intervals
of General Courts, and to view their lands and houses and to create and
contract for renewing Leases, according to the Orders of the House, and
to Suspend any officer, for Misdemeanors: untill the next General Court
and to make report of their proceedings from time to time to this Court

Mr: Danll: White, Capt. Bowles, Mr. Gardner Chir: Mr: Manley Capt
Worrell, Mr. Ford, Mr. Richardson, Mr. Gulston Mr: Eyton, Mr: Josh:
White, Mr: Young, Mr. Gerrard, Mr. King, Mr: Taylor, Mr: Tucker Mr. Soper
Mr. Totton, Mr: Parker, Mr: Clay; Mr: Turney, Mr: Sheafe Mr: Mann, Mr.
Hannott and Mr: Gervas Bufield Governors of the Said Hospital

And after the reading and confirmacon of the Orders & business
of the last Court, It was ordered as followeth(Vizt)

At this Court was Read a Copie of the Peticon of the three late Chirurgeons
of this hospital to the Queens MatieComplaining of their being put out of their
places, And praying they may be restored; As also an order for the Governors attempt
her Matiein Councill to answer to the said Complaint on thursday morning next
Whereupon It was Ordered. That the prsent and all the Aldnn Governors
Mr. Trear Esqr. Lewin, Esqr. Fosier, Esqr; Dr: Lennoy CapleSmith Capt Powell Capt
Bowkes Capt. Foster, Deput; Flavell Mr. Eyton Mr. Byfield, Mr. Richardson Mr.
Gardner Chir. Mr. Soper and Mr. Manley to attend her Matie in Council the said [..]
