Steward


That all patients that come from the adjacent parts be brought hither by
the Churchwardens or Some parish officer, and that the patient be furnished
with convenient Linnen att the time of their taking in, and that the
takers in take care hereof but Espeacially the Steward

About the
Foul disease


That although of late many have been taken in of the foule disease contrary
to the Order in that behalfe yet it being inconvenient they be So reserved into this
House in regard wee have no Lodgings out of the house fro them Wee think
the said Order ought to be revived and they kept out hereafter and to
that end that meanes be used with the Comissioners for Sick and mained
Soldiers and Seamen that they may not send any more of that distemper
hither, and that no other persons be received of that distember

Wee are alsoe of Opinion that one Doctor and Three Surgeons are
Sufficient for the Service of this Hospital according to the ancient
custome and practice in this house of them

And also the Substance of the Severall Contracts, or Graunts, made
contracted for and not yet Sealed having been approved by the said
Comittee were read over and agreed unto and aproved by the Court
which Contrcts as they were made are as follow

in the County of Cambridge for Twenty one years from Michas 1691: (when
the olds Lease ends) in consideracon of Forty pounds Fine, and lay out Forty
pounds within a year in new building, Rent Three pounds Six Shillings 8d: as before

in George Ally in the parish of St. George the Martin in Southwarke (The guist of
Coll: Baines) for Forty three years from Michas next att the present rent of
Thirty Five pounds, in consideracon of a Fine of Thirty five pounds, and laying
out Two hundred pounds in a year, and Surrendering of the present Lease
wherein Twenty two years were to come the

The Said Messuage called the George being burnt 22th: Septembr 168 agreed
that inconsideracon of Five Guinea's to be put into the poors box and
becoming bound to build with Brick Etc a new Lease be made to the Said James Long< no role >
on Surrendering the old Lease and paying the Said Fine of £35: for Sixty one years
at the Said yearly rent of Thirty Five pounds

(by Lease Expiring att Michas 1690:) for Twenty one years from that time at
the old rent of Thirty pounds and for a Fine of Eight hundred pounds (vizt)
£250: in a moneth and £275: at Six moneths, & Six moneths, which is all paid

by Widdow Yates) at Twenty four pounds P Ann (Shee being unable to
hold the Same haveing left the house much out of repaires and being
halfe a year in arreare) for Twenty one years from Lady day last att
Twenty four pounds P Ann and hee to putt the house in repair and pay the
arreares; which he hath done

one of the houses held by Jno: Keyes< no role > all the Breadth of that Kitchen at being are
added to the yard Northward in Lease to Mr. Wm Yardley< no role > will make all the
Kitchen Range northwards with the new Buildings of the Said Mr: Yardley
Eastward on the said Kitchen) The said John Watts< no role > to build a Substantiall housing
Stead of the de [..] dane in which Jno. Keirs< no role > late Dwell and wharfing & covering with build
Arch the Ditch about the Ground belonging to that house & retaining bound the build
the other within Seaven years & paying five Guinea's to the poore
