Grant to Saml Sharpe


Agreed with Mr. Samuel Sharpe< no role > to Grant him a
Lease of Six Old Tenents. in St. Thomas's Parish
late held under a Lease Granted to Macklyn Green< no role >
which expired at Lady day last for the Terme of
Eighteen Years and Three Quarters from Midsumer
next At the Yearly Rent of Six Pounds Payable
Quarterly Free of Taxes. He is to put the premisses
into Good Repaire at his own Charge and to pay
a Fine of £21. at his Sealing the Contract for the
Lease.

He gave £1. 1s. to the poors Box

No mony to be taken
by the Steward for
Petitions for Out Patients


This Comittee Taking Notice that 6d. has been
taken by the Steward for every Petition of the
Out Patients of this Hospital Ordered That the
future Steward for the time to come shall not take
Six pence or any other Gratuity for the said
Petitions Or for any Notes or Certificates to be
produced by such Out Patients.

Mr. Treasurer read to the Committee the found
of a recommendation of out Patients to this Hospll.
which was approved and Ordered to be Printed
and given away gratis to all Governours and
others who shall apply for the same.

Resolution that now of
the obli [..] accept any
gruituty Etc


Resolved that 'tis the Opinion of this Committee
That none of the Officers of this House or their
Servants shall upon any Pretence Accept of any
Gratuity or present whatsoever of any of the
sisters Nurses Watches or any Persons for them
on their respective Admissions into this Hospital
or at any time afterwards And that no Sister Nurse
or Watcher or any Person for them do Give any
such Gratuity (Except five shillings a peice to be given by
every Sister to the Steward & Matron upon the going in a [..] Delivering
her the Inventory at is usual) upon pain of such
Giver or Receivers being expell'd the House for
every such Offence And that Coppies of this
Resolution be Signed by the Clerk and delivered
