For a Nuisance

Henry Bristowe< no role > of Queen Ann Street East in the
parish of Saint Marylebone in the County of Middlesex
Yeoman maketh Oath and Saith that he this Deponent
is Indicted for keeping a disorderly House No. 84 in
Queen Ann Street East in the Parish of St. Marylebone
Deponent never resided in the same House but let the
same to a Tenant of Good Character and that his said
Tenant [..] conducted herself in his said House with that
propriety and good Conduct that he never suspected or
knew that any disorders were Committed therein by his said
Tenant so as to make him this Deponent liable to be
Indicted for the above offence And this Deponent saith
that he hath since he has been Indicted endeavourer to
dispose of this said House in order to revarse any Complaint
against the same And this Deponent further saith that
he is not fully prepared to take his Trial this Session on
account of the absence of a Mrs. Haresent a very particular
and Material Witness for him this Deponent whom this
Deponent verily believes is were at Brighthehurstone in
Sussex confined by illness and without whose Evidence this
Deponent Cannot safely proceed to take his Trial on the
said Indictment but hopes to be prepared to take the
same at the next Session.

Sworn in Court this 30th.
