Alexander Thompson< no role > of the parish of Lambeth
in the County of Surry Carpenter Maketh Oath that
a Bill of Indictment having been preferred against
him by Francis Kitson for an asault and [..]
true Bill he pleaded to the same at the Sessions
held for the said County in Mary last and garce his then
Attorney directions to take all Necessary Steps and to
proceed to Trial in due time but this Deponent hath
None been informed that he ought to have proceeded to
Trial at the Sessions in July last but that through
the Neglect of his said Attorney the said Indictment
hath Not Yet been tried and this Deponent saith that
being unacquainted with the due Cause of Lane
proceeding he relied on his Attorney and that his Not
proceeding to trial hath been entirely owing to the
Neglect of his said Attorney and that his Recognizances
have Never been estreated

Sworn at the New Sessions House
Clerkenwell Green this 14th. Septr. 1787.
