for an Assault.

John Thomas< no role > of Whitecross Street in the Parish of Saint Luke in the County of
Middlesex Broker the Defendant above named maketh Oath and Saith that Bail was
Entered into in Court the last Session for this Defendants Appearance this present
Session to try his Traverse on the Indictment Preferred against him by the above
named Prosecutrix And this Deponent further Saith he Immagined & was led to
believe that his Trial would come on as a Matter of Course this Present Session but h [..]
since been informed an believes that it is necessary to give Notice of Trial to the
Prosecutrix Previous to such Trial agreeable to the Rules and Orders of this
[..] Worshipfull Court; and which Rule or-Order was wholly unknown to this Deponent, And this
Deponent further Saith had he known it was necessary to give Notice he would have
caused such Notice to have been given in proper time and taken his Trial this Present Session
