Thomas Harmer< no role > of Bridges Street in the Parish of St. Paul
Covent Garden Surgeon on his Oath saith, that on Monday [..] last
in the afternoon, A Person came to Deponent desiring him to
come to the Deced, when he said had broke his Neck, says that he went
to Deced and on Examining him found a violent Contusion
in his Neck and right Shoulder, Says That he was quite
motionless, owing as Deponent Believes,to a Dislocation
of one of the Vertebre of The Neck (which Dept. was informed had happened before and was reduced) and from the Compression
that the Spinal Marrow must thereby sustain, which Depont
believes occasioned the Death of the Deced.

Mary Duggin< no role > , Wife of Partrick Duggin< no role > of Kings Court Russel
Street Chairman, on her Oath saith, that between One and Two
O' Clock on Monday last the Deced was brought in a Coach to the
End of said Court and afterwards carried on a Persons back into
his Lodging in Deponent's House, where he lodged, Deced being
then not able to walk, Says that Deced was put into Bed,
Says that she was very after with the Deced since and that
Deced Told her that he had fought with Nicholas Maccabe< no role > ,
and that he intended to give said Maccabe a Cross Buttock
but that said Maccabe being too heavy, had thrown the Deced
down and Pitched him upon his Head, and fell upon the Deced
Says that he always complained of his Neck, and was not able
to move himself, Says that the Deced died on Tuesday last
between Seven and eight O' Clock, Marry [..]
Edward Reily of Kings Court Chairman, on his Oath saith that
he was in the long Fields on Monday last, and saw Nicholas
Maccabe
< no role > and the Deced fight, says that the Deced endeavoured
to give said Maccabe a Cross Buttock, but Maccabe being too
heavy fell upon the Deced, and Deced Pitched upon hid Head
and afterwards lay upon his Back unable to move, Deponent
says that he then thought that the Deced's Neck was Dislocated
and immediate pulled the Deced's head with both hands, and
the Deced's Neck slipt into the Joint, Says that the Deced soon
after spoke, and that he was afterwards carried home, Says
that the Deced died on Tuesday last in the Evening, and verily
believes that his Death was occasioned by the fall.
