Be it Remembered that this 27th. Day of March 1764 Joseph
Lycett
< no role > of Golden Square in the Parish of St. James Westminster Gentleman
complaineth and maketh Oath that certain Goods and Chattells of
John Bolton< no role > of Goswell Street in the Parish of St. Luke in the said county Jack Smith< no role >
have been fraudulently and clandeslinely conveyed and carried
away from the Messuage or Tenement of the said John Bolton< no role >
by the said John Bolton< no role > his servant on Servants. Agent
or Agents, or other Person or Persons Aiding or Assisting therein to
prevent the said Joseph Lycett from distraining the said Good
and Chattells for Arrears of Rent due to him the said Joseph
Lycett for the said Messuage or Tenement and that the said
Goods and Chattells are put placed or Kept in the House
Stable on thouse Yard Close or other Place of Richard Osland
of Bowling Alley Goswell Street
locked up fastened or otherwise secured so as to prevent the said
Goods and Chattells from being taken and Seized as a Distress
for Arrears of Rent and that the said Joseph Lycett hath a
reasonable Ground to suspect and doth Suspect that the
said Goods and Chattells are in the Owelling House of the
said [..] Richard Osland at Rowling Alley in Goswell Street .
aforesaid.
