To Wit. To the Constable, Headborough , Tythingman, and
other Officer of the Peace of the Parish of St.
Martin in the Fields [..] with in the
Liberty of Westminster in
the County of Middlesex
within the said to receive
and convey. And to the Church Wardens,
Chapel Wardens, or Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish, Place or Precinct of St. John at
Wapping .. in the County of Middx: of or
either of them to received and obey

WHEREAS Edward William Johnson< no role > was

apprehended in the saith Parish of of St. Martin in ye. Fds
as a Rogue and Vagabond (videlicet) wandring and beging in
a loose idle and disorderly manner contrary to the
Statute in that Case made and Provided
and upon Examination of the said Edward William Johnson< no role >
taken before me upon Oath (which
Examination is hereunto annexed) it doth appear that the last legal
Place of Settlement of the said Edward William
Johnson
< no role > is in the Parish of St. John at Wapping
in the County of Middlesex aforesaid
These are therefore to require you the said Constable, or other Officer,
to convey the said Edward William Johnson< no role > to the Parish
to theof St. Dunstan inofthe West London that being the first
Parish in the next Precinct, through which he ought to pass
in the direct Way to the said Parish of St. John to which
he is to be sent, and to deliver him to the Constable, or
other Officer of such Parish in such next Precinct, together with
this Pass, and the Duplicate of the Examination of the said Edward
William Johnson taken his Receipt
for the same. And the said Edward William Johnson
to be thence carried on in like Manner
to the said Parish of St. John
there to be delivered to some Church-warden, Chapel-warden, or Overseer
of the poor of the same Parish
to be there provided for according to Law. And you the said Church-
warden, Chapel-warden, or Overseer of the Poor, are hereby required
to receive the said Person and provide for him as aforesaid. Given
under my Hand and Seal this thirteenth Day of March
in the Year of our Lord 17 64.
