At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden for the County of
Middx at Hicks Hall in St. John Street in the County aforesaid by adjournment on Tuesday the fourth
day of April in the thirty first year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the second King of
Great Britain Etc before George Errington< no role > Merry Teshmaker< no role > George Greene< no role > Ralph Hodgson < no role > This name instance is in set 3684. Esqrs .
and others their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid and also to hear and determine divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds committed in the
same County.

Upon hearing the Appeal of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
St. George Hanover Square in the County of Middx against an Order under the Hands and Seals of
Francis Jackman< no role > and William Pickering< no role > Esqrs . two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the
City and Liberty of Westminster in the said County (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the
fourth day of February last whereby Richard< no role > (said to be) a Male Bastard Child aged about six
Years born on the Body of Hannah (therein called) Atkinson< no role > Singlewoman was removed from
the Parish of St. James within the Liberty of Westminster in the said County to the said Parish of
St. George Hanover Square as the Place of his last legal Settlement (the hearing and determining
of which Appeal being exhibited at the last General Session of the Peace holden for the said County
by adjournment on Friday the twenty fourth day of February now last past was by an Order then
made by the Court of the same Session of the Peace adjourned untill this present General Quarter
Session of the Peace holden for the said County and the said Appeal was appointed to be heard on
this present Tuesday the fourth day of April instant) And upon hearing of what was alledged by
Mr. Lane of Council for the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St
James within the Liberty of Westminster and also by Mr. Serjeant Hayward< no role > of Council for
the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. George Hanover Square
This Court doth disallow of the said Appeal and doth ratify and confirm the aforesaid Order of the
said two Justices of the Peace and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed accordingly.
