At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden for the
County of Middx at Hicks Hall in St. John Street in the County aforesaid by adjournment on
Friday the thirteenth day of January in the thirty first year of the reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the secondLord George the secondKing of Great Britain Etc before Thomas Lane< no role >
Bartholomew Hammond< no role > Philip Dyot< no role > John Lane< no role > Esqrs . and others their Fellows Justices of our
said Lord the King assigned to Keep the Peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear and
determine divers Felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds committed in the same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St. Clement Danes
in the County of Middx exhibited their humble Petition and Appeal unto this Court Setting forth That
by an Order under the Hands and Seals of Isaac Pacatus Shard< no role > and Saunders Welch< no role > Esqrs . two of
his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said County (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing
date the seventh day of November last Deborah Hanmore< no role > and her two Children namely [..]
Susannah< no role > aged three years and upwards and Mary< no role > aged nine Months and upwards were removed
from the Liberty of Saffron Hill Hatton Garden and Ely Rents in the said County to the said
Parish of St. Clement Danes as the Place of their last legal Settlement, which Appeal was and
stands adjourned untill this present General Quarter Session of the Peace holden for the said
County and the same being appointed to be heard on this present Friday the thirteenth day of
January instant Now upon Motion made unto this Court by Mr. Pheadris of Council for
the Appellants praying that the hearing of the said Appeal may be further adjourned and offering
several reasons for that purpose It is Ordered by this Court that the hearing and determining the
Matter of the said Appeal be and the same is hereby further adjourned untill the next General
Quarter Session of the Peace to be holden for the said County And that the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Liberty of Saffron Hill Hatton Garden and Ely Rents (upon
Notice of this Order) and all Persons concerned do attend the Court of the said next General Quarter
Session of the Peace to be holden for the said County by adjournment on Friday the seventh day
of April next at nine of the Clock in the Forenoon to hear and abide the Judgment and
Determination of the same Court touching the said Appeal.
