The Information of William Crosby< no role > a Private Continel
in the Second Regiment of foot Guards in Colonel
Clavering's Company, taken before me this 18th. day
of October 1753.

Who being upon Oath says that on Tuesday the 18th. day of September last one
Allen Latty< no role > came to this Informant and told him that John Hamilton< no role > was hurt
and desired that he wod. go and See him (He the said Hamilton being then in one
Neal's house in Parkers Lane ) which this Informant did, And says that
upon his asking the said Hamilton what was the matter the said Hamilton
answered he had been wounded in an affray which he had in the Street, but
by whom he could not tell (he the said Hamilton being at that time much in
Liquor) Says that thereupon he looked at the wounds which the said Hamilton
had received, which were four in Number, to wit are in his [..] Breast, one
through his Ribbs, one in his Groin, and another in his Shinn Bone, which
appeared to be given by a two Edged Weapon, about the Breadth of an Inch,
[..] Says that he Dressed his Wounds, and afterwards carryed him home to
this Informant's Lodgings, whose he contained all Night, Says that this
Informant was obliged to go out Soon the next Morning, and upon his
Return home found the said Hamilton gone from his Lodgings and
this Informant Suspecting where he was gone, he immediately went to the house
of one Alexander Kennedy< no role > (he said Alexander being with the said
Hamilton the Night before) and there found him concealed in a Clossett
