The Information of James Eddrup< no role > Servant to the
Right Honourable the Earl of Harrington taken
before me this 26th. day of September 1753.

Who being upon oath Says that he is Servant to the Right
Honourable the Earl of Harrington and says that on Tuesday was Sennight
as he was coming with his Lordship to London form Petersham , he was told by
two or three Men at Parsons Green in the Parish of Fullham , that My Lord
Harrington Cook had been Robbed and Wounded, the Night before in the
Kings Road, Upon which this Informant Acquainted his Lordship with
what he had heard, And says that when they came to Bloody Bridge this
Informant asked the Man of the House if he had heard any thing of My Lord
Harringtons Cook being Robb'd to which he Annexed he had, and likewise
heard the Report of two or three Pistolls go off at the time of the Robbery
And also told this Informant that he saw the Cook Ride by a little after Seven
the same Evening, Just before the Robbery was Committed, Says that when
his Lordship came to Town, he said somebody should gee to see the Cook
and to tell him to have the best Advice that could begett, which this
Informant Accordingly went, and there found the said Cook Bathing in
a Tub of Water, Upon which this Informant asked him how he did, to
which he Replyed very bad, for that he had been Robb'd of Seven Guineas
and a Half and his Watch in the Kings Road near Bloody Bridge by two
Men, Says that this Informant asked the Cook if he did not Draw his Knife
to which he told him he did and Wounded one of them very much in Severall
Places Upon which this Informant asked the Cork if he could Recollect
any Wound he had given in any Particular place, by means of which
it might probably be found out in their going to the Hospital to be
Dressed, to which he Answered he had Wounded one more than the other
