At the General Quarter Session of the peace of our sovereign Lord
the King holden for the County of Middx at Hicks hall in St. John
street in the County aforesaid by adjornment on Tuesday the
fifteenth day of April in the eighth yeare of the reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the second King of Great Britain France
& Ireland Defender of the Faith before Thomas Lane< no role > John
Martin
< no role > Alexander Garrett< no role > Henry Dodson< no role > Esqrs . & other their Fellows
Justices of our said Lord the King assigned to keep the peace in the
County aforesaid and also to heare & determine divers felonys
trespasses & other misdeeds committed in the same County,

Upon hearing of the appeale of the Churchwardens & Overseers of the
poor of the parish of St. James Garlick hith London against an
Order under the hands & seales of Nathaniel Booth< no role > & William
Hayton
< no role > Esqrs. two of his Maties Justices of the peace for the County of
Middx (whereof one being of the Quorum) bearing date the twenty
fifth day of October last whereby Edward Grossmith< no role > and Mary < no role > his
wife were removed from the Liberty of Saffron hill Hatton Garden &
Ely Rents in the parish of St. Andrew Holborn in the said County of
Middx to the said parish of St. James Garlick hith London as the
place of the last legal settlement of the said Edward Grossmith< no role > &
Mary his wife,(And upon hearing of(the hearing & determining
of which appeale being preferred [..] to the Court of the last
General Quarter Session of the peace holden for the said County
of Middx on Monday the thirteenth day of January now last past
[..] was by an Order of the same Court adjourned untill this
present General Quarter Session of the peace holden for the same
County) And upon hearing of what was alledged by Councel for the
Churchwarden & Overseers of the poor of the said Liberty of
Saffron hill Hatton Garden & Ely Rents in the said parish of saint
Andrew Holborn and also by Councel for the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the poor of the said parish of St. James Garlick hith
This Court doth disallow of the said appeale And doth ratify &
confirm the aforesaid Order of the said two Justices of the peace,
and the same is hereby ratifyed & confirmed accordingly,
