taken upon Oath before me one of
his Maties Justices of the peace for the
said County this 3d. day of January
Ano Dui 1718 .

Who Saith that upon ye 1st: day of this instant
January about three of the Clock in the Morning
as he was coming down Cheapside in order to go to
his Lodgings one Elizabeth Shank< no role > als Wood< no role > called
to him & asked him if he would drink a Dram
which he accordingly did and then the said
Elizabeth Shank< no role > als Wood< no role > went home wth him
to his Lodgings at the house of William Cook< no role > in
the Parish of St. Mary Staining in the City of
London , where she lay wth: him till, about
Eight of the Clock the said Morning, and that
soon after she left him he Missed Six
Guinea & a half Guinea in Gold five
Crown pieces & other Money wch. he verily
believes the said Elizabeth Shank< no role > als Wood< no role >
pickt out of his Pockett
