before me one of his Maties Justices of the Peace for this County
this 12th day of January Anno Dom 1718

Who Saith that on the Fifth day of this Instant one Amy Furniss< no role >
with one mary Hardin< no role > Came into the Shops of [..] William Lawrence< no role >
herthis Informants Father in Hounditch in the Parish of St: Botulphs Ald [..] gate
in the City of London under Pretence to buy a Shift where
haveing Seen Severall Shifts Pretended not to Like any of them
and asking to See Some printed Linning and being Shown
Severall Peices they pretended to Dislike the Flowers

That as this Informant was Shewing the Shifts the above
Said Mary Hardin< no role > Endeavoured to Pull one of the Shifts from
the Compter: That whilst this Informants Fathers Maid was
Shewing the printed Linning aforesaid the Above said Amy
Furniss
< no role > Severall Times Stooped down under pretence to Tye her
Garter that the Said Amy Furniss< no role > and Mary Hardin< no role > Offered
to this Informant Seven Shillings and Six Pence for what she
Demanded fourteen Shillings and Six pence that then this
Informant went from behind the Compter to the Doore and
the Maide Declared that there was a peice of Printed Linning
Missing that this Informant Stopt the above Said Amy
Furniss
< no role > and Mary Hardin< no role > who Endeavoured to Runnaway
but this Informant holding her the peice of Linning aforesaid
fell from under the Coates of the above Said Amy Furniss< no role >
