and asked if any return had been made that a
Certificate had been sent to the Stamp Office and
he came in short to know if that Certificate had
been returned I told him that it had and that
the Remission was prepared and gone to the King
for Signing Mr.. Butcher came to me twice the
same day, he said the Certificate is gone to the
Stamp Office , I told him it was not returned;
being asked whether he thought Evans ill when he
was in Prison answered I did that Mr.. Aris has
many times called at the Secretary of States Office to
prevent improper Pardons being obtained I do not
think Mr.. Aris a Man capable of frabicating a
