At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the
King holden in and for the County of Middlesex at the
Session House for the said County (by adjournment) on
Thursday the Eleventh day of April in the Thirty third year
of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third King of Great

The Order of Court made at this preset Session for the Election of
a Surgeon and Apothecary to attend the House of Correction at Clerkenwell and
the New Prison there in the room of Jonathan Hayne< no role > deceased being read
And Mr John Davis< no role > Mr Thomas Webb< no role > and Mr Thomas Champney appearing
before this Court and severally offering themselves as Candidates for the said
vacant Office Resolved that His Majestys Justices of the Peace for this
County do now proceed to Ballot for a proper Person to Succeed the Said
Jonathan Hayne< no role > as Surgeon and Apothecary to the said Prisons.

John Hole< no role > Esqr . and Thomas Gordon< no role > Esqr . were appointed
Scrutineers to examine the same and the Ballot being closed and the
Scrutineers having examined the same made the following Report of the state
thereof Vizt. That 40 of His Majestys Justices of the Peace for this County had
Ballotted of which number there appeared for Mr. John Davis< no role > 27 for Mr.
Thomas Webb< no role > 13 and for Mr. Thomas Champney< no role > none.
