and Seats of two or more Justices of the Peace of the said County residing
in or near such Town Parish or Place rendering the overplus (if any there
be) after deducting the Money assessed and the charges of the Distress and
Sale to the Owner or Owners thereof and the High Constable Church
Wardens Chapelwardens and Overseers of the poor in the said County are
not to fail of performing the matters and things abovementioned enjoined
them by this Order in pursuance of the said Act of Parliament under the
Penalties mentioned in the said Act.

Ordered that Application be made to the Executors of Mr.
Leslie the late High Constable for Westminster for payment of the Sum
of £110..1s..0d being the Balance remaining due from him on Account of
the County Rate.

Ordered that Application be made to the Executors of Mr.
Elliott the< no role > late High Constable of the Tower Division for payment of the
Sum of £87..3..5 remaining due from them on Account of the County Rate

The Committee for conducting the building of the New
House of Correction in Cold Bath fields having complained of the conduct
of Mr Hopcraft the Mason by which great delay was occasioned to the
workmen engaged in the other departments of the Building and the
Proceedings of the said Committee being read in the following Words Vizt.

Minutes of the Committee appointed to carry into Execution the
Plan of a House of Correction for this County approved by the Court in
April Session 1786 holden at the Ground in Cold Bath fields on Friday the
21st. day of May 1790.

Mr. Rogers having reported that there is great delay on
"the part of the Mason and that the Bricklayer cannot proceed with the
"Brickwork on Account thereof Mr Hopcraft the Mason was called in to
"answer to the Committee for his neglect, Whereupon he produced three
"Letters from Messrs. Chinchens of Swanage the Stone Merchants advising
"him of having sent Two vessels with Forty eight Ton of Stone for the House
"of Correction and stating that they had a great deal of Stone ready but
"were apprehensive of difficulties on Account of the present Impress for
