Resolved that the Consideration of the said last mentioned
report be Postponed.
Resolved unanimously That the Ground on the West
North & South sides of the Session House be inclosed with an Iron Railing
as mentioned in the said Report and that Mr Leroux be desired to form a
Particular of the Work and an Estimate of the Expence thereof
Resolved That an Advertisemt. be inserted in the
Daily Advertiser for Proposals for carrying the Work into Execution and
that the Estimates for executing the same be delivered in at the office of the Clerk
of the Peace for this County on or before Thursday next at 12 o Clock at noon
By adjournment same day
It having been intimated to the Court by Mr Boodle that the Trustees of
Lord Northampton
intended to insist on their Title to the Ground in the
Front of the Sessions House for this County and to convert the same to act
own use by exercising Acts of Ownership unless some Acknowledgement
be made on Account thereof by this County.
Resolved That The Chairman be requested to meet
Mr Boodle and the Trustees of Lord Northampton
for the purpose of
adjusting and settling this matter between then and the County if
Possible

The Chairman having informed the Court that he had seen Jervoise
Clarke Jervoise< no role >
Esqr
. and Mr. Tilbury (Mr Jervoise's agent) and that
several Letters had passed between him and Mr Jervoise in respect to
the Purchase of the Ground in Cold Bath fields
but that nothing had been
finally settled and that Mr Tilbury in his last Letter had particularly
requested that as Mr. Gorham was out of Town and they could not be
prepared that a Jury might not be summoned for the present & expressing
his hopes that upon a meeting to be had of the Surveyors for both parties that
an amicable adjustment might be made of this Business.
