A Motion was made that in the following standing
Order regulating the proceedings of His Majestys Justices of the peace
for this County in respect to the Leaseing the Lands and Tenements
belonging to the County Vizt." Recommeneded that no Order of
"General or General Quarter Session for granting a Lease of the
"Land or Tenements belonging to this County or any Motion for
"that purpose, be made unless Twenty Justices or more be present
"nor any such Order be made till One Months notice has been given
"in one of the Daily News papers: And it is hereby declared,
"that fifteen Justices are a competent number for transacting
"and ordering any other Business above Stairs on the County
"Days". After the Words Lands or Tenements belonging to the
County the following Words be inserted Vizt. Or for the purchase
"of any Lands or Tenements" and the same being agreed was
ordered accordingly.

The following Report from the Committee appointed To enquire
whether any spot of Ground can be had in the vicinity of the Sessions
house proper for the erection of a House of Correction
and upon what
Terms being laid before the Court and the same being read as
follows Vizt.
To His Majestys Justices of the Peace
for the County of Middlesex
in their General Session of the Peace holden by adjournment on
Thursday the 19th. day of June 1783 assembled
