A Motion was made that the Salary to be allowed to the
Collector of the Tolls of the St James's Haymarket be fifty pounds
per Annum

After Debate the abovemotion was with drawn with Leave

And then a Motion was made that the three Candidates be [..]
in which being agreed to Mr Stocken Mr Holdsworth & Mr Wood [..]
were called and being now here present The following Questions [..]
put to Mr Woodward to which he returned the answers subjoined
the respective Questions vizt

Q Whether there are [..] any perquisites appertaining to the Office of
Collector of the Tolls of the Hay market over and above the Sallary
allowed?

A Yes there are

Q Do they belong to the Collector or his Deputy?

A To the person who Acts as Collector

Q What do they amount to

A About 4, 5, or 6 pounds a year

Q What do they arise from?

A From weighing Defective Hay

Q Is the examination fee included in the 5 or 6 pounds a year?

A Yes it is

Q Does the examinant mean to reside at the Haymarket if elected?

A Yes certainly

Q Does he mean to execute the Office himself?

A Yes!

Q Is the examinant so much his own Master as to dedicate his which
time to the duties of the Office?

A Yes!

Q Is he perfectly acquainted with the Duties of the Office?

A Yes!
