At the Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the King holden in
and for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street by
adjournment on Thursday theday of February in the Twenty second
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third King of Great Britain Etc.

His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for this County in this present Session of
he peace assembled do unanimously reelect William Mainwaring< no role >
Esquire Chairman of the General and General Quarter Sessions of the
peace for this County for and during the half Year now next ensuing
and do also unanimously return thanks to the said William
Mainwaring
< no role > for his able administration of Justice as Chairman and
punctual attention to the duties of the Office during the last half Year

By adjournment same Day

The following Order made at the last Session of the Peace holden for this
County being read Vizt. "Ordered that each prisoner in New Prison at
"Clerkenwell and at the House of Correction there be allowed One pound
"weight of good wholesome wheaten Bread per diem; and that each
"person in the House of Correction at Clerkenwell during the time only he or
"she performs hard labour be allowed one penny half penny per diem in
"addition to the General Allowance of Bread" and it being represented
to this Court that white Debtors continue to be confined by the Sheriff
of this County in the House of Correction at Clerkenwell there is no room
or opportunity for employing the prisoners therein in hard labour. It
is Ordered that the said Order so far as respects the allowance of one penny
halfpenny to each prisoner in the House of Correction at Clerkenwell
during the time only he or she performs hard:labour be and the same
is hereby suspended until the County day of the next Session of the
peace to be holden for this County.

By adjournment same day

The subsequent Report from the Committee appointed to consider how
the Number of the Justices who may receive wages for attending the
Sessions of the Peace for this County came to be limited to Twenty four
and whether any and what addition ought to be demanded and
