Friday 20th. of May 1763 .

Address to be jointly
from the Cord Lieutent.
and 3 Sevl Bodies viz

It is Agreed upon the Convent and at the desire of the Deputy
Lieutenants of [..] County and Justices of the peace of the City and Liberty of
Westminster in this County Several of whom being now present
that the Address to be presented to his Majesty be the joint
Address of the three Bodies as the late Addresses have
been It being likewise Signified that the same will be
Agreeable to the Lord Lieutenant and Custos Rotulorum
And it is Ordered that Notice of the Meeting of the
Comittee to settle the Address be published in the Daily Adver-
tize, the Gazetteer and Publick Advertizer and in the St James's
Chronicle and Whitehall Even post.

Turner discharged

It Appearing to this Court that John Turner< no role > Governor on
Keeper of the House of Correction at Clerkenwell who was
yesterday restored to his Employment upon his promise
of Amendment and good behaviour in his Office (from which
he had been Suspended) was disguised with Strong Liquors
this forenoon in open Court And thereby incapable of doing
the Duty of his Office [..] And this Court being of
Opinion that the said John Turner< no role > is unfit to hold and execute
the said Office place or Employment any longer Upon
which the said John Turner< no role > was called before this Court and
Acquainted with the above Complaint to which he had not
Any answer to make nor did he Offer any Cause to this
Court against his being discharged from the same Office
It is therefore Ordered that the said John Turner< no role > for his
Misbehaviour in and the neglect of his aforesaid Office place
or Employment aforesaid be and he is hereby Absolutely
discharged from the same.

The said John Turner< no role > was then called again and informed
that he was discharged from his said Office and the Cause
thereof.

And William Pentlow< no role > the Keeper of New prison at
Clerkenwell is thereupon Appointed to take Care of the said
House of Correction and of the prisoners therein until another
Keeper Shall be Appointed or elected in the Stead of the sd. John
Turner And the said Mr. Pentlow being called and Acquainted of his being
so Appointed he agrees And undertakes the Care and Custody of the same
accordingly and is directed to go and take immediate possession.
