By Adjournment on same Thursday 19th. of May 1763 .

Order for an humble
Address upon the peace.}

Ordered that an humble Address be presented to his Majesty on
the Conclusion of the Peace And that a Comittee of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for this County do meet at Hicks Hall on
Wednesdaythenext by ten of the Clock in the forenoon to Settle
the Address And that every Justice of the peace of the said County
be of the Committee of which Notice is hereby directed to be given
in the Dayly and evening News Papers.

Ordered that the Address when Settled be layd before the Rt.
Honourable The Earl of Northumberland Lord Lieutenant and
Custos Rotulorum of this County for His Lordship's Approbation

Ordered that this present Session be Adjourned unto Friday pesent.
next at 9 of the Clock in the forenoon to be held at Northumber
land House and from thence to Hicks Hall at the hour of
Eleven at which last mentioned time and place the Comittee
Appointed to Settle the Address to his Majesty are desired to
lay the same Address before the Court for the Approbation
of his Majesty's Justices that shall be there assembled.

and City & Libty of Westmr. in the sd. County.

Most Gracious Sovereign

We your Majesties most faithful and loyal Subjects after our hearty congratulations
on the many great and wonderfull Successes wch. by the favor of Providence have attended your.
Majesties Arms during the late just and necessary war in the Course of wch, the conduct & behaviors
of your Majesties forces by sea and Land have gained lasting Honor, beg leave wth. Hearts full
of Gratitude to return our most sincere thanks and humble acknowledgemts to your Majesty
for the happy Determination of it by a seasonable Safe and advantagious Peace

Your Majesty has hereby given a signal proof of Humanity and universal benevolence
undispu [..] rks of true greatness of Soul

To under th [..] blessing most extensively beneficial and to maintain a regular due
obedience to the Laws the true foundation of our Liberties is our Indispensible duty and
Shall be the object of our unwearied vigilence and attention

As Magistrates bound in Duty and conscience to preserve the peace and as loyal Subjects
bound by every tye of Duty Affection and respect to the best of Sovereigns who in publick life is
the great patron of Religion and Liberty and in private life the bright example of true rith [..]
We cannot omit this occasion of expressing our Abhorrence of all attempts to insult the
Dignity of your Person and shade the lustone of your Throne assuring your Majesty of our
Zealous endeavours to support your Majests. Authority upon the true Principles of Liberty
and to suppress all daring and wicked attempts to disturb that union which we trust
will be one great Characteristic of your Majesties Reign

May your Majesty long continue to reign over us Honored and beloved by your Subjects esteem'd and feared by your
Enemies a Glorious and Gracious Prince over a People gratefully loyal Flourishing and free Is the Servent prayer of
May it please your Majesty your Majesties most dutifull and loyal Subjects
