Order for allowing
to Mr. Frances
Seymour 12d. a pint
for Surplus Wine }

Whereas by an Order made at the last General Quarter Sessions of
the peace holden for this County by adjournment on Thursday the
Sixteenth day of October last It was Ordered that the consideracon
of a matter touching an allowance prayed by Mrs. Frances
Seymour
< no role > wife of Christopher Seymour< no role > Gent Housekeeper of
Hicks hall to be made for the Surplus Wine provided for his
Maties Justices of the peace of this County (vizt.) that Such
allowance might be advanced from ten pence to twelve pence
a pint, Should be adjorned untill this day, It haveing been
alledged as one reason among others that the former allowance
was twelve pence for each pint, but that the Same was
afterwards reduced, and that wine is now dearer than of late
it hath been, This Court upon consideracon had of the Said
matter Doth Order that the said Mrs. Seymour be from and
after this present Sessions allowed twelve pence a pint for the
Surplus wine to be provided for the Justices of the peace of this
County assembled in their Generall or Quarter Sessions,
untill further Order of the Court of General Quarter or
Generall Sessions of the peace for this County to the Contrary.
