Whereas by Order made at the General Quarter Sessions of the peace
holden for this County by adjornment on Thursday the fifth day of April
in the eighth year of the reign of his present Maty King George It was
Ordered that the method of electing the Housekeepeer of Hicks Hall and
Cryer of the General and Quarter Sessions of the peace for this County,
and also of the Keeper of New prison and Keeper of the house of Correction
at Clerkenwell in this County or any other Officers (who have Offices of
profit) under the nomination and appointment of the Justices of the

otherwise, Now Forasmuch as this Court is of opinion that the method of
electing such Officers as aforesaid by way of ballotting is not so legal a
method as that of electing the same viva vece, It is Ordered by this Court

Officers as aforesaid or any of them by way of ballotting be vacated and
discharged, and the same are hereby vacated and discharged accordingly
