It is Ordered by this Court that the Clerke of the peace of this County or his
Deputy Do attend the secretary of the Comissioners appointed for the
licenceing of Hackney Coaches and Chairs, and desire him on behalf of his
Maties Justices of the peace of this County to deliver to him for their use and
accomodacon a sufficient Number of the respective papers containing the
last Orders, By Laws and Ordinances made by the said Comissioners for the
good government and regulating of the persons licenced to keep and
drive Hackney-Coaches, and their Renters and Drivers, and allowed
and approved of pursuant to the Statue or Statutes in that behalf
made, Together with the several Admeasurements have been taken
by direction of the said Comissioners within the weekly Bills of
Mortality.

Order for settling the forme
of a Victuallers Licence}

This Court haveing thought fit that the forme of a licence (different
from that which hath formerly been used in this County) shall for the
future be made use of for the allowing and licencing of Alehousekeepers
and Victuallers to keep comon Alehouses or Victualling houses and to
utter and sell bread, beer, ale and other Victuals, and to sell Brandy
and other Distilled liquors by retail within this County, Doth approve
of and accordingly Order that the forme of the licence hereunder written
shall from henceforth be made use of for that purpose together with
the forme of the Recognizance (to be entred into for each Alehousekeeper
or Victualler) and the Condicon of the same specifyed under the
aforesaid forme of the said licence,

Midd. ss:

We his Majesty's Justices of the peace for the said County,
whose Names are hereunto subscribed (whereof one is of the
Quorum) do allow and Licence

withinDivision in the said County, to keep
a common Alehouse or Victualling house, and to utter and
sell Bread, Beer, Ale and other Victuals, and to sell Brandy, and
other Distilled Liquors by Retail, to be drank in the same House
whereinnow dwelleth and not elsewhere, until the next
General Licensing of Victualers for the said Division, so as the
true Assize in Bread, Beer and Ale be duly kept, and no unlawful
Game or Games, Drunkenness or any other Disorder be suffer'd
inhouse, Out house, Yard, Garden, or Backside, but that
good Order and Rule be maintained and kept therein according
to the Laws of this Realm, in that Behalf made and provided for
the due Observance whereof by the said Victualler, a Recognizance
is now entered into, pursuant to the Statue in such Case made,
The Tenor of which Recognizance and the Condition thereof,
is to the Effect here under specified, Given under our hands the
Day ofin the Year of our Lord 17and in the
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George
King of Great Britain, Etc.
