Middlesex to wit

The Examination of Mary Hooker< no role >
of No. 46 Liquor Ponds Street in the said
County of Middlesex
Spinster taken before me Sir Sampson
Wright Knight this 30th day of
October 1786

Who being on Oath saith that she hath Known a person
now present who calls himself George Crampton< no role > alias Forest
for about seven Months past That on Wednesday last about 5 o'Clock
in the afternoon Mr. Abraham King< no role > of Castle Street Holborn
and Mrs. King his Wife (with whom she lives Servant) went
out That soon after said Crampton alias Forest came, and
she let him in, and he staid in the Kitchen until 10 o'Clock
That this Deponent then went up into the back Garret of
her said Master House, the said Crampton alias Forest following
her, in order to fetch a Cap; soon after which said Crampton
and Deponent returned to the Kitchen again. That when
said Crampton and this Deponent was in said Garret a
Cloaths Bag was hanging up, in which was the two ruffled
Shirts & three Neck HandKerchiefs [..] now produced together
with divers other Articles That about half part twelve
oClock at Night her said Master and Mistress returned and
went to Bed That Deponent soon afterwards went up into
said Garret and went to bed to said Crampton Alias Forest where they continued
until seven oClock the next Morning when she got up and
he went away and further on her Oath saith that she neither
saw him the said Crampton alias Forest take the said Articles
nor did she know he had taken them
