taken before me this 6thday of December 1786
Who being on Oath Saith that he is in Partnershop with
John Papplewill in Scott Yard
aforesaid the James Barnard< no role >
now Present hath been their Clerk for about one Year and a half
and cloped from their Service on Monday last That about half
past three o'Clock on Monday last this Informant gave to George
Hardy now present who is another Clerk to this Informant and
Partner a Three Hundred Pound Bank Note and a Two Hundred
Pound Bank Note directing the said Hardy to carry the said Bank
Notes to Messecurs Munday and Walkers Tea Dealers in Broad
Street at which time said James Barnard< no role >
was present as he believes
and heard the directions given by this Informant to said Hardy as
aforesaid. And further Says that form the Information of Said Hardy
and other Circumstances he doth suspect that the said Barnard obtained
the said Notes from the said Hardy with intention to steal the same
