Middlesex Commitments.

1 LEWIS Lalliman , in Tothillfields-bridewell , committed by S. Wright,
Esq; on oath of Charles Stringer< no role > and others, on suspicion of hav-
ing wilfully, maliciously, and feloniously shot at the said Charles
Stringer with a pistol, loaded with powder and ball, and wounding him
in his right arm. Dated Dec. 4, 1780.

Kent

Detained on oath of John Dashecourt< no role > and others, for feloniously assaulting
him on the highway in the county of Kent , putting him in fear, and
taking from his person a pocket-book, 16 louis-dores, and some silver.
Dated Dec. 8, 1780.

Detained on oath of John Dashecourt< no role > and others, for wilfully and feloni-
ously and maliciously shooting at him on the highway, in the county of
Kent, with a pistol, loaded with powder and ball. Dated Dec. 8, 1780.

Detained on oath of John Dashecourt< no role > and others, for feloniously assaulting
Arabella Wentworth< no role > on the King's highway in the county of Kent ,
putting her in fear and taking from her person a gold watch, 3 gold
seals, a pocket book, a bill of exchange for payment of 720 livres, and
some money, her property. Dated Dec. 8, 1780.

2 Ann Braidy< no role > , in Tothillfields-bridewell , committed by S. Wright, Esq;
on oath of William Kirks< no role > and others, on suspicion, and detained for
stealing 3 curtains, the property of Richard Brinsley Sheridan< no role > and others,
the managers of the Theatre Royal Drury-lane . Dated Dec. 11 and 14,
1780.

Detained on oath of Ann Philimoe and others, for stealing 2 pair of silk
stockings, the property of Richard Brinsley Sheridan and others, the
managers of the Theatre Royal Drury-lane . Dated Dec. 14, 1780.

3 Abraham Dry< no role > , in Tothillfields-bridewell , committed by J. Durden, Esq ;
on suspicion, and detained on oath of Janet Atkinson< no role > and others, for
feloniously assaulting her on the highway in the city and liberty of West-
minister, putting her in fear, and taking from her person a bundle con-
taining 12 pair of Stockings. Dated Dec. 11 and 13, 1780.

4 John Doran< no role > , in Tothillfields-bridewell , committed by W. Addington,
Esq; on oath of Thomas Chapman< no role > , on suspicion of having feloniously
published as true to the said Thomas Chapman< no role > , knowing it to be forged
and counterfeit, a certan promissary note for payment of money, pur-
porting to be the promissary note of Thomas Hammersley< no role > This name instance is in set 3328. , for the
other partners of the Exchange Banking Company and self, to Mrs.
Elizabeth Robertson< no role > or order, for payment of £10. on demand, at our
office in St. James's-street , dated London, Sept. 16, 1780, with intent
to defraud the said Thomas Hammersley< no role > This name instance is in set 3328. and partners. Dated Dec. 13,
1780.

5 Mary Miller< no role > , in Tothillfields-bridewell , committed by S. Wright, Esq;
on oath of William Maxwell< no role > and others, on suspicion, and detained for
feloniously receiving, in the county of Middlesex , 8 shirts, one shift, a
child's cloak, a great coat, Etc his property, knowing the same to be
stolen. Dated Dec. 18 and 21, 1780.
