before me with having wilfully set Fire to his
Dwelling House No. 6 Bird in hand Court, in
the said City Who on his Oath saith that about
half an hour past twelve of Wednesday last in the
Morning he was alarmed in bed with a cry of Fire
that he got up and enquired where the Fire was and was answered
the Fire was at Hilliard, House, and by a Vrite
that he then took to be Hilliard's, he dressed
himself came down Staing into Bird in
Paid Court aforesaid and then want into
Hilliards House and up one pain of
Stain, and as soon as he put

the one pair of Stairs landing Place he
saw a Cloud of Smoak, and perceived a
Flame through the Lattice over a Closet
Door on such landing Place, he went up to
the Door

Flames warring, and saw the Tub now
