Petitioners setforth That by a Pass Warrant or Order of Removal under the Hands and Seals of
In Thomas Hallifax< no role > Knight Lord Mayor of the said City and Robert Alsop< no role > Esquire one of the Aldermen
of the said City Two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said City bearing Date on the 20th day of
December last Jane Richards< no role > and her Illegitemate Son Thomas Aged Two Months and upwards
her Nurture were Removed from the Parish of Saint Catherine Cree Church in the City of London
to the Parish of Saint Catherine Coleman in the City as the Place of her last Legal Settlement
by which the Petitioners think themselves aggrievedAnd thereby pray leave to Appeal
there from of which Notice was delivered of such Petition and appeal to the Respondents on the
Eleventh day of January instant.

Please to observe that the Pauper previous to her Examination
upon which the Order was grounded (and which Examination is hereunto Annexed) was on the
third Day of November last Married to her Husband Thomas Richards< no role > in the said Examination
Named and from so recent a Transaction could not be Acquainted with the Legal Settlement of
her Husband nor was ever told where the Place of his Legal Settlement was Therefore being
unable to Ascertain her Husband Settlement she was Passed or Removed to the Place of her Maiden
Settlement Acquired as in her Examination mentioned.

one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex Signed by him at his office
in Hoopers Square in Goodmansfields on the Third day of November last the said Thomas Richards
the Paupers Husband made Oath before him that he was Born at Monmouth in Monmouthshire
and that he never gained any other Settlement a Copy of which Certificate is hereunto Annexed

According to the above Certificate refered to the Settlement of
the Pauper and her Child with her for Nurture most be at monmouth as the place of her Husbands
last Legal Settlement Admitting the said Certificate of Samuel Wood and the Conobaration of the
said Certificate by James Roberts< no role > one of the Churchwardens of the parish of Saint Catherine Coleman and
who were present when Thomas Richard the Husband of the Pauper was Sworn to the truth of the
said Certificate to be Evidence

The Contest between the Appellants and Respondents seems
to be which of them shall be at the Expence of Conveying the Pauper to Monmouth aforesaid
and are willing on both sides to get the present Order of Removal set aside so as the Pauper
may be Removed to the Husband Settlement
