WHEREAS Complaint hath been unto Us, two
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the City of
London and Liberties thereof, one being of the Quorum, by
the
Church-Wardens andOverseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Precinct of Whitefryers
London, That
John Barker< no role >
did
lately come to reside in their said
ParishPrecinct, not having obtain'd
any legal Settlement there, and is likely to become charge-
able thereto, unless timely prevented, which complaint We
the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon
the Oath of the said
John Barker< no role >
as otherwise, do
adjudge to be true; and We do also adjudge the last legal
Settlement of the said
John Barker< no role >
to be in the said Parish of Saint Martin
and that thitherto he ought by Law to be sent.
These are therefore in his Majesty's Name to will and re-
quire you theChurch-Wardens andOverseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of
Precinct of Whitefryers
London, forthwith to remove and convey the said John Barker< no role >
from and out of your saidParish,Precinct unto the said Parish of
Saint Martin
And him deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this
our Order, who is and are hereby required to receive and pro-
vide for him according to Law. Given under our Hands
and Seals, this 16th Day of September One Thousand
